Aisha Yesufu Reveals Why Price Of Onions Has Skyrocketed

EndSARS protest Convener, Aisha Yesufu has revealed why the price of onions rose sharply recently.

The high price has saddened and caused unhappiness for many Nigerians who cannot cook without using onions.

Aisha Yesufu has once again taken to her official twitter account to express her opinion on the possible reason why onion became expensive in Nigeria.

She blamed insecurity in some northern states (Sokoto, Zamfara and Kebbi axis) for the sudden increase in the price of onions because the bandits attack has driven a lot of farmers away from their farm.

In her words, Aisha Yesufu said “The insecurity is what is happening. Many have been driven away from their farms. What Nigeria doesn’t understand is that whatever affects one region affects us all. Onions mainly come from the Zamfara, Sokoto and Kebbi axis”. See the screenshot of the post below:
