EKO HOT BLOG reports that Manchester United have been warned by Ajax that they will not allow both Lisandro Martinez and Antony to leave the club this summer, according to reports.
United are preparing an offer for Martinez, with Erik ten Hag keen to bring the Argentine to Old Trafford in order to strengthen his defence.
Arsenal are also keen on Martinez and have indicated that they would be willing to bid €30 million (£25.8m) this summer.
Reports this week have also claimed that United are closing in on a £40m deal for Brazilian winger Antony, who thrived under Ten Hag since he joined Ajax from Sao Paulo in 2020.
However, reports suggest that Ajax are refusing to sell both Anthony and Martinez, meaning that Ten Hag may need to choose which player he would prefer to have at United.
Ten Hag also wanted Jurrien Timber but the 21-year-old has opted to remain at Ajax in order to boost his chances of making Netherlands’ World Cup squad at the end of the year.
Ajax, meanwhile, have already lost Ryan Gravenberch to Bayern Munich this summer, while their leading striker, Sebastian Haller, is set to join Borussia Dortmund for £30m.
Elsewhere, United remain in talks with Barcelona over a deal for Frenkie de Jong.
Reports in Spain on Tuesday night claimed that United are £12m short of Barcelona’s £72m valuation of the Dutch midfielder.
