Akwa Ibom Commissioner Of Police, Waheed Ayilara, Dies After Surgery
The Commissioner of Police in Akwa Ibom, Waheed Ayilara, has passed away.
Ayilara died early Thursday morning at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH), Ikeja, following a prostate cancer surgery he underwent the previous day.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that a family source, speaking to The Nation, confirmed the news, stating, “We are deeply saddened to inform you that our friend and brother, the Commissioner of Police for Akwa Ibom State, Waheed Ayilara, has passed away.”
Akwa Ibom Commissioner Of Police Dies
Late last year, Ayilara briefly served as the acting Commissioner of Police in Lagos, where he took over from AIG Idowu Owohunwa after serving as the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of the State Criminal Investigation Department.
