Sanwo-Olu has praised Alara of Ilara Kingdom’s zeal for socio-economic development of his community

Eko Hot Blog reports that Lagos State Governor, Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, has commended the Alara of the Ilara Kingdom, Oba Dr Olukayode Olufolarin Ogunsanwo, for always seeking the socioeconomic advancement of the people of Ilara kingdom, neighbouring communities and the entire Epe Division.

The governor’s message was contained in the programme brochure of the 55th birthday ceremony of the former Lagos State Internal Revenue Services (LIRS) boss at the iconic Alara Palace.The governor’s message was delivered by Hon Bolaji Kayode Robert, Special Adviser to Mr Governor on Local Government and Community Affairs at the 55th birthday ceremony of the former Lagos State Internal Revenue Services (LIRS) boss at the iconic Alara Palace.

According to the message, which was read to guests at the event, Sanwo-Olu said his administration was grateful for the monarch’s contributions to the overall development of Lagos.

“The Lagos State Government wishes to appreciate your tenacity as a strong advocate of the people of the Ilara kingdom and by extension, Epe Division in general,” the message read.

“Also, our support for the present administration is well noticeable and as a government, we save this golden moment to appreciate your contributions to the overall development of the state.”

Speaking further, the governor described the 55th birthday celebration of Alara as a rare occurrence based on the coincidence with the monarch’s ascension ceremony.

“Perhaps, today marks an uncommon event connected with destiny and royal ancestors given this spectacular coincidence of Kabiyesi’s 55th birthday anniversary of his ascension to the throne of his forebearers as the 55th Alara of Ilara Kingdom,” he said.

“A royal celebration like this rarely occurs in the affairs of kings hence, this predication deserves more of our gratitude to celebrate Kabiyesi, the Alara of Ilara kingdom.

“Distinguished ladies and gentlemen, in all honesty, this uncommon feat shows that the Creator has marked you out of greater responsibilities of this particular period of time in the history of the Ilara kingdom as your divine time.”

Meanwhile, Sanwo-Olu used the medium to restate his commitment to peaceful coexistence across all communities in the state, urging the first-class monarch to continue to strive for a peaceful kingdom.

“As you are aware, the State government has actualized different infrastructures with direct bearing on the lives of residents and visitors in the Epe Division. Some of these projects have been completed while some are near completion,” the governor said.

“Among these are road construction, renovation, upgrading and construction of schools, improvement of health facilities, promotion of entertainment and tourism, security and good governance as encapsulated in the THEMES agenda of the present administration of Mr Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu.”

Eko Hot Blog reports that guests at the event include HRM Oba Saheed Elegushi, the Oba of Ikate-Elegushi, Mrs Noimot Salako-Oyedele, Ogun State Deputy Governor, Director General, Nigerian Tourism Development Corporation, Mr Folarin Coker, Pastor Ojelabi, Lagos APC Chairman, amongst several others.
