The Antigua and Barbuda is not the first Caribbean country to attract the interest of the Alara of Ilara. The Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, another Caribbean country, has a robust relationship with Ilara kingdom.

In July, Oba Ogunsanwo enhanced the relationship between Ilara kingdom and Trinidad and Tobago by installing Mr. Wendell De Landro, the country’s high commissioner to Nigeria as the Aare Atunluto of the kingdom.

At the conferment ceremony of the chieftaincy title, the Republic of Trinidad & Tobago and Ilara kingdom, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on bilateral relations.

The monarch expressed hope that the MOU would help bring development to the entire region of Epe.

De Landro also stated Trinidad and Tobago’s commitment to spurring growth and development in Ilara Kingdom, saying his country’s plan will be focused on the youths and entrepreneurship.
