Eko Hot Blog reports that Alara of Ilara kingdom, Oba Olufolarin Olukayode Ogunsanwo has mourned the demise of his father, Thompson Olawale Ogunsanwo, who transited to the great beyond at the age of 86.
A statement by the palace titled “To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven” described the late octogenarian who was a role model to many.
According to the statement, Baba Oba was called to glory on Saturday, January 21, 2023.
The statement partly read, “It pleases the lord Almighty that at this appointed season, we announce the passing of our patriarch, father, grandfather and the beloved father of our reigning monarch, the Alara of Ilara Kingdom, Epe Division, Lagos State.
A Crown Prince of the Telade Ruling House; Baba Oba Thompson Olawale Ogunsanwo. transcends to a greater calling on, Saturday 21st January 2023 after a sojourn of 86 great years on earth.”
Until his demise, Baba Oba was a desirable role model, mentor and loving father to many of his children & wards across the globe. He will be sorely missed by the members of his community, friends and families.”
Speaking with Eko Hot Blog Oba Ogunsanwo described the late Baba Oba as a beacon light that was his life’s compass, his fortitude, strength and inspiration which helped him weather life’s numerous adversities.
He, however, took solace in the fact that Baba Oba lived a fulfilling and exemplary life and will be held in the highest regard by all those who shared the stage with him during his life’s sojourn.
Funeral arrangements shall be duly communicated by the family as soon as reasonably possible.
