EKOHOTBLOG gathered that Oba Asunmo Ganiyu Aderibigbe, flagged off his 15th year coronation anniversary in grand style as he commence the week long celebration with a special thanksgiving service at the Redeemed Christian Church, Odo-Ayandelu on Sunday, May 25, 2025.
As part of the programs for the grand celebration of Oba Aderibigbe, in commemoration of his successful reign on the throne since his ascension 15 years ago, chieftaincy installation rights were done at the palace, on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, as the community countdown to the grand anniversary.
The installation procession, famously called ‘Iwuye’ in local parlance, was done according to the customary rites and tradition, as symbolic edibles were shared amidst oath making and prayers.
In an exclusive interview with EKOHOTBLOG, the newly installed chieftains expressed their excitement, recognizing the excellent reign of Oba Aderibigbe, while offering prayers for his prolonged reign as the paramount ruler of Odo-Ayandelu Kingdom.
High Chief Wahab Adebanjo, Tobalase of Odo-Ayandelu Kingdom, shared his delight at the conclusion of the installation ceremony, stating that he had always been the kings’ righthand.
“Every one of us seated here today, have been a staunch supporter of His Royal majesty, Oba (Buldr.) Asunmo Ganiyu Aderibigbe, since his ascension to the throne”. He said.
“I can say that i was the errand boy of Kabiyesi, whenever he calls me to represent him at an event, I do so wholeheartedly, I really appreciate him a lot.” He added.
When Aske about his wishes and prayers for Oba Ganiyu Ahead of his 15th coronation anniversary, Chief Adebanjo prayed for more years in happiness and prosperity.
