Eko Hot Blog reports that the Lagos Water Corporation (LWC) has announced a major water disruption in the state.
In a statement signed by LWC management on Sunday, the corporation said a technical fault with its major waterworks power supply caused the disruption.

The LWC, however, assured customers that its engineers are working with the staff of the Ikeja Electricity Distribution Company (IKEDC) to restore water as soon as possible.
The corporation also regretted the inconveniences caused by the disruption and promised to restore water supply “in earnest.”
“The Management of Lagos Water Corporation wishes to appeal to its esteemed customers that the Water disruption you are currently experiencing is due to technical fault at LWC Major waterworks power supply, as this is affecting our operation,” the statement reads.
“We regret any inconvenience caused by this unforeseen disruption and assure our customers that LWC engineers are working assiduously with IKEDC Staff to rectify the problem and restore water supply in earnest.
