The Nigerian forward will miss the world cup qualifying match against Central African Republic (CAR) due to injury.
This information was announced through the super eagles official facebook page on Friday and the striker is due to be replaced by Terem Moffi.

“Forward Terem Moffi has been called up to replace injured Alex Iwobi for the World Cup qualifiers against Central African Republic,” the post reads.
Terem Moffi who plys his trade in France at ligue 1 club FC Lorient made his debut during a 1 – 0 against cameroon in June, 2021.
The super eagles match against Central African Republic is expected to take place in Lagos and Douala next week.
