ALGON Commends Dapo Abiodun, Ogun Assembly Over Reinstatement of Chairmen

The Association of Local Government of Nigeria, ALGON has commended the Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun on his decision to reinstate the local Government chairmen earlier suspended by his administration.

ALGON president, Hon. Alabi David Kolade while reacting to the Governor’s decision said that the Governor has revealed how patriotic and democratic his administration is.

“This is Indeed good for democracy, It shows how important our democracy means to us, it shows how huge we also respect our constitution”. ALGON President emphasized.

Alabi who spoke in Abuja on Thursday 3rd October, 2019 through his media office also acknowledged the efforts and roles played by the Ogun State House of Assembly in making sure the reinstatement is achieved.

In same vein, he called on the reinstated Chairmen to effectively make use of this golden opportunity to positively transform their various Local Government Areas and speak for the grassroots at all time.

The president futher urged, Oyo State, Kwara State, Imo State and Ekiti State to also follow suit for the sake of democracy in the country.
