Alhaja Wakilat Omowunmi Ashiru Tantoolorun, the founder and Chairman Board of Directors, Al-Iman Prayer Group Worldwide, officially launched a pipe-borne water project in Osogbo to honor her late father, Alhaji (Hon.) Gausudeen Omotilewa Ayinde Aro-Lambo, at Al-Iman mosque grand unveiling in Osogbo.
Al-Iman is an extended family network with various types of Dawah programmes and projects both in Nigeria and in the diaspora, with its headquarters situated in Huston, Texas, United States of America.
In a bid to propagate Islam and facilitate various humanitarian projects in Osogbo, Osun State, Alhaja Wakilat Ashiru embarked on several projects and programmes in Osogbo, including erecting a grand mosque and providing a pipe-borne water system for the use of the residents of Ayekale in Osogbo, dedicated in honor of her father’s enduring legacy.
Alhaji Aro-Lambo was a great politician who served as the Secretary to the State Government during Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu Administration in Lagos State and was famously known as ‘Packager’ among his colleagues for his unique ability of organising.

Prior to his appointment as SSG, Alhaji Aro-Lambo was a member of the House of Representatives, representing the Lagos Island Federal Constituency on the Social Democratic Party (SDP) platform during the aborted Third Republic.
Appointed in August 2000 following the removal of Mr. Babarinde Da’Silva, the late politician served as Lagos Secretary to the State Government until 2006.
In November 2006, Aro-Lambo resigned his appointment to seek the Action Congress (AC) gubernatorial ticket.
The resignation, which took effect on November 1, 2006, was said to have caused ripples at the Alausa seat of government.
However, Aro-Lambo lost his governorship bid to Babatunde Fashola, who eventually won the 2007 governorship election in Lagos State.
Besides being a politician, the former Lagos SSG was a member of several organisations.
He was the chairman, Board of Trustees (BoT), of the Eko Club Houston Massey Hospital project
He passed away on the 21st of May 2024 and was buried on the 22nd of May 2024, according to Islamic rite.
Alhaji Honorable Gausudeen Omotilewa Ayinde Aro Lambo was survived by his successful children, Alhaja Amerah Wakilat Omowunmi Aro-Lambo Ashiru, his first child and first daughter who lives in Houston, Alhaji Baeez Aro Lambo, Alhaja Motayo Aro-Lambo, and Saudat Aro-Lamb.
Alhaja Wakilat Omowunmi Ashiru Tantoolorun is also known for facilitating several humanitarian projects, which include the establishment of tuition-free and Haiflah-free Arabic and Islamic institutes, Ramadan special food packages, and Hajj sponsorships.
In addition, payment of SSCE and JAMB registration fees, educational scholarships and sponsorships, donation of thousands of Qurans, visitation and provision of succor to inmates in various Nigerian Correctional Centers as well as ophanage homes, among many other humanitarian aids and programmes.
