The man widely regarded as the king of comedy in Nigeria, Ali Baba, has dedicated the Award of Excellence for Social Impact And Entertainment he received from the Presidency days ago to his predecessors in the comedy industry.
The 54-year-old comedian was presented the award by Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, during a ceremony at The Banquet Hall, Aso Rock Villa days back and in an Instagram, he dedicated it to the likes of Tunji Sotimirin, Papi Luwe, Baba Sala, Zebrudaya and Patrick Doyle, among others.
Selected for his contribution to the entertainment industry which is a key part of the micro, medium and small scale enterprise initiative as identified by the government, Ali Baba, who has enjoyed a lengthy career in the comedy industry spanning over three decades, said he salutes those he came earlier even if they are not as regarded.
