EKO HOT BLOG reports that Aliko Dangote, the President and Chief Executive Officer of Dangote Industries Limited, has expressed his appreciation to President Muhammadu Buhari and President-elect Bola Tinubu for their significant support in the establishment of the Dangote Oil Refinery.
In a Twitter post, Dangote also acknowledged Tinubu’s role in creating the Lekki Free Trade Zone as part of his vision during his tenure as the governor of Lagos State.
The Nigerian billionaire businessman took the opportunity to express his gratitude to the Nigerian people for their immeasurable support throughout the journey of the refinery project, from its inception to completion.
Dangote highlighted the crucial assistance provided by President Buhari, the Federal Government of Nigeria, and President-elect Tinubu.
He credited Tinubu with setting the foundation for the project by envisioning and creating the Lekki Free Trade Zone.
The establishment of this trade zone has played a vital role in facilitating the refinery’s development.
Dangote also extended his appreciation to several governors who have played instrumental roles in supporting the project. He specifically mentioned former Governor Babatunde Fashola, current Governor Akinwunmi Ambode, and current Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
These individuals, through their respective administrations, have provided invaluable assistance and cooperation to ensure the successful realization of the refinery.
The Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals, with a capacity of 650,000 barrels per day (BPD), is expected to produce various refined products, including Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), diesel (AGO), aviation jet fuel, and Dual-Purpose Kerosene (DPK).
As one of the most ambitious industrial projects in Africa, the Dangote Oil Refinery represents a significant milestone for Nigeria’s oil and gas sector.
Aliko Dangote’s expressions of gratitude reflect the recognition of the immense support received from government leaders, including President Buhari and President-elect Tinubu, as well as the Nigerian people, in achieving this remarkable feat.
