The Aliko Dangote Foundation (ADF) has announced the launch of its 2025 Annual National Food Intervention Project, an initiative valued at N16 billion aimed at providing essential food assistance to over one million Nigerians across the country.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the project, which began in Kano State, will see the distribution of 10kg bags of rice to vulnerable individuals and families in all 774 local government areas.
During the launch ceremony, ADF Chairman Aliko Dangote emphasized the importance of the project in addressing the current economic challenges facing Nigeria, as well as the foundation’s commitment to compassion, solidarity, and shared responsibility.
Dangote stated that the initiative aligns with the core values of his company and foundation.
“This annual initiative, which embodies compassion, solidarity, and shared responsibility, is part of our response to the current economic challenges facing our nation. It reflects our commitment to supporting our communities in line with our core values.”
The foundation’s chairman, Aliko Dangote, emphasized the importance of food as a basic human necessity and explained that this core belief has driven the foundation to consistently engage in food distribution programs throughout the country.
With an investment of N16 billion, the project aims to address food insecurity and provide essential relief to those in need.
Following the launch in Kano, the Aliko Dangote Foundation will progressively expand the food distribution initiative to other states, ensuring that support reaches the individuals and communities who require it the most.
