Reports of a caterer who was allegedly attacked at a wedding by the brothers of the groom at a wedding he was working surfaced online on Monday.
The victim’s sister, Sanni Anuoluwapo, who shared the news on Twitter, said he was attacked because he refused to serve the groom’s brothers insisting that they sit before he obliges their request.
Eko Hot Blog gathered that Sanni had in a series of tweets on her twitter handle @Ashabiwealth, she alleged that the police had connived with the family of her brother’s attackers to subvert justice.
She said the police officers at the station they lodged a complaint had suggested to them to drop the case because of the social standing of the family involved.
According to her, they said it was “a case of the rich versus the poor.

However, in what seem like a recent development, Sanni in a tweet on Tuesday, said the family involved invited her family, fearing that the case his gaining much attention on social media.
She explained that her family demanded that the assailants be present as a precondition for attending the meeting but the family, after initially assuring them that they would be present failed to produce them when they arrived at the venue of the meeting.
She wrote: “The family of the guys that brutalised my brother called for a meeting after seeing that the case had gone a long way, and I Nd my family accepted, I also demanded that the 3 guys that is involved in the case (the guys that brutalised my brother) should be present at the meeting or else I ND my family will not sit for any meeting, because there was no need having a meeting that the culprits are not present, and they agreed that they will be there.
“On getting to the meeting today (Tuesday) by 1pm we found that they didn’t produce this guys, the father of the bride then said they have gone to Abuja, so we stood up and left.
“So this is the update so far, it’s not developing at all, I don’t know why they are hiding those responsible for my brother’s injury.”
“All I ask for is justice!” she added.
