Allegations Of Payroll Fraud Rock Oyo State Government
Allegation of payroll fraud has been levelled against a Permanent Secretary at one of the ministries in Oyo State, under the administration of former governor, Abiola Ajimobi.
Make No mistake about it, payroll fraud is another name for ghost workers racket.
The allegations are thrust of a virtual confrontation which led to a heated argument between two twitter users.
One of the persons involved in the ruckus is the son of the former permanent secretary, Ayobami Idris Adekojo.
A free-for-all situation between Idris whose Twitter moniker is @dondokejo and another user identified as Solar Unique @Advsola led to to the ruthless opening of cupboards with lot of skeleton on both sides.
Ayobami Idris Adekojo @dondokejo, is believed to be a staunch member of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), he was said to be the brain behind the social media campaigns of some bigwigs in the party in the building up to the 2019 general elections, chief of which was the ‘Grow Nigeria’ campaign of former Senate President, Bukola Saraki.
It would be recalled that the Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, had during one of his daily updates on COVID-19 announced that two persons escaped on their way to isolation centre in the state.

Idris, who is believed on the payroll of the Oyo State Government, and was on good terms with Solar before their relationship became frosty, disagreed with Solar on his stance regarding the escapees.
He also accused him of begging for money.
This accusation was the catalyst that brought matters to a head as subsequent line of action taken by the duo led to the exposure of dirty secret that could have a telling impact on the state government.
The duo resorted to sharing of screenshots with startling revelations.
In one of the screenshots shared, @advsola claimed that Idris runs a ghost racket scheme “probably through his mother’s office”.
In a now-deleted tweet, @dondokejo confessed to running the ghost worker racket but, in a subtle attempt to exonerate the present administration from the grave accusations and implicate its predecessor in his illegal deeds , said it happened during the tenure of the last governor Ajimobi.
He tweeted “Just to clarify, this whole ghost worker thing was was before elections during AJ’s tenure. He only disturbed much after. Just to clarify”
Idris, however, followed his confession tweet with thread of tweets on what transpired between the duo
Good Morning Everyone, Sometime in February last year, @advsola approached me to help him with any gig, as the current gig he was working with me ended, he suggested A Government gig that can keep him less busy.
