Alleged Anti-Party Activities: Legal Blow Strikes PDP’s Suspension Plan For Wike

  • A court has issued a restraining order preventing the PDP from suspending Governor Wike and others over alleged anti-party activities.

  • Justice Ekwo held that suspending or expelling Wike and Co. will amount to a breach of their rights to freedom of association.

  • Justice Ekwo issued the order on Tuesday in Abuja.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that a Federal High Court in Abuja has banned the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) from suspending or expelling Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State and State Executive Members of the PDP in Rivers State over alleged anti-party activities.

In his judgment, Justice Inyang Ekwo held that the fears of Wike and other members of the PDP were well-founded and that suspending or expelling them will amount to a breach of their rights to freedom of association.
