Altara Credit Limited (“Altara”) is a Nigerian consumer and business services venture. Our core value proposition is to improve the quality of life for the average Nigerian by driving financial inclusion. Altara is built on serving the underbanked and the otherwise financially excluded.

Our debut service is “buy now, pay later” where we allow formal & informal sector workers, and SME owners to purchase a variety of products and equipment for their homes and businesses but instead of paying for the products in full upfront, pay a small amount over time.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Floor Sales Representative

Location: Ibadan, Oyo

Job Description

  • Maintaining Altara Credit image to the highest standards and ensuring the showroom, stockroom and all displays are neat and tidy at all times.
  • Explains Altara Credit schemes to customers
  • Initiate inspiring customer interaction by building and maintaining meaningful relationships to recognize customer requirements
  • Ensuring that Altara Credit Customers are attended to at the highest levels of customer service at all times, serving Customer in a courteous and professional manner, handling customer complaints efficiently and providing accurate advice.
  • Assisting with stock management ensuring deliveries are put away timely and ensuring the shop floor is replenished at all times.
  • Assists supervisor with preparation and sending reports
  • Ability to cross sell products to customers
  • Receive payments from customers and prepare necessary invoices and schedules
  • Carry out other responsibilities as assigned by Lead

Job requirements

  • B.Sc / HND in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics or any related discipline
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a customer service representative in a consumer finance company, microfinance or bank
  • Excellent written and face interpersonal, communication and persuasion skills
  • Strong mathematical skills
  • Relationship management
  • Knowledgeable in Microsoft office tools including MS Excel, Word and power point
  • Analytical, problem solving skills, organizational skills and attention to details
  • Great at time management, multitasking and prioritizations skills

Job Title: Altara Pay Agent

Location: Ibadan, Oyo

Job Descriptions

  • Collect and crosscheck customer’s documents to ensure they are complete and valid.
  • Assess and analyze financial information and make good decisions.
  • Prepare internal reports.
  • Manage and maintain files for assigned portfolio of account
  • Check inflows and follow up with customers.
  • Maintain account’s book to ensure that the customers’ status is accurate and up to date.
  • Develop reports on accounts
  • Explain the way Altara Credit Limited scheme works.
  • Provide customers with correct updated pricing for products

Requirements

  • Minimum of OND / HND / B.Sc in related field with 0-2 years work experience
  • Great Analytical skills
  • Great communication skills
  • Good reporting skills
  • Proven to be take good decision
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Location: This role will be based in Ibadan and is strictly for Ibadan residents

Job Title: Software Tester

Location: Ibadan, Oyo (Role may require some domestic travel)
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description
“We are looking to hire a “Software Tester”. This is a role where you will report directly to the Software Engineering Lead. In this capacity, you carry out stress testing, performance testing, functional testing, and scalability testing:

  • Run manual and automated tests
  • Review software requirements and preparing test scenarios
  • Executing tests on software usability
  • Analyzing and documenting test results on database impacts, errors or bugs, and usability
  • Participating in design reviews and providing input on requirements, product design, and potential problems
  • Preparing reports on all aspects related to the software testing carried out and reporting to the software team

Qualification / Requirements

  • Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree (B.Sc.) in Computer Science with a minimum of second-class upper (2.1)
  • 2 years of work experience as a Software Tester or similar role
  • U-to-date knowledge of software test design and testing methodologies
  • Good knowledge of relational database
  • Good knowledge of software development processes
  • Working knowledge of programming.
  • Excellent communication and critical thinking skills
  • Good time-management skills
  • Adaptability, ability to work in a team environment.
