EKO HOT BLOG reports that the management of Ambrose Alli University (AAU), Ekpoma, has vehemently denied claims of an increase in tuition fees, denouncing the circulating rumors on social media as false and misleading.
In a statement released to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Wednesday in Benin, the acting Registrar of AAU, Mr Ambrose Odiase, along with the university’s Public Relations Officer, Mr Lawrence Isiraojie, clarified the situation and set the record straight.
The statement issued by the university emphasized the need to address the misinformation that has been widely spread on social media platforms in recent days. It denounced the inconsistent figures being circulated by mischief makers, clarifying that they do not represent the official tuition fee structure of Ambrose Alli University.
In no uncertain terms, the university confirmed that there has been no increase in tuition fees for the 2022/2023 academic session for returning students. The statement explicitly stated that all tuition fees will remain the same as they were in the previous academic session (2021/2022).
Additionally, the statement clarified the admission process for prospective students, highlighting that only those who have matriculated and paid the acceptance fee within two weeks of the publication of the admission list will be considered officially enrolled at the university.
The statement emphasized that candidates seeking admission should understand that an offer of admission will expire if not accepted within the specified timeframe.
Moreover, the university made it clear that it will strictly adhere to its admission quota and will not admit students beyond its capacity. The management urged individuals seeking further clarification on the issue of fees charged at Ambrose Alli University to visit the institution’s official website for accurate and up-to-date information.
The statement from AAU aims to address the growing concerns and speculations surrounding tuition fees, ensuring that students and their families are not misled by false information.
By issuing this official statement, the university seeks to maintain transparency and keep stakeholders informed about the true status of tuition fees for the upcoming academic session.
