According to SP Tochukwu Ikenga, the police spokesperson, the boat operators are now in police custody in connection with the unfortunate incident. Ikenga also disclosed that the producer of the movie, Adanma Luke, had voluntarily reported to the police, and other members of the cast and crew would be invited for questioning.
“Yes, the boat operators have been arrested. Even the producer of the movie, Adanma Luke. Their statements were taken, and interrogation is ongoing,” Ikenga said. He stressed that nothing would be swept under the carpet concerning the investigation of the incident.
However, the development has sparked a controversy within the Nollywood industry, as actress Doris Ogala has alleged that the President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), Emeka Rollas, is covering up for Adanma Luke, claiming that the producer is part of Rollas’ team.
