• Obiano inaugurates Awka Township Stadium

EKO HOT BLOG reports that Willie Obiano, Governor of Anambra State, inaugurated the Awka Township Stadium on Tuesday, December 28, 2021.

The stadium features an eight-lane Poly Unit Premium tartan track, with a hybrid synthetic surface for the football field.

Obiano remarked at the opening that he was pleased to have created the facility, which he would leave to the people of Anambra as one of his administration’s legacy projects.

After the opening, the stadium hosted the final match of the 2021 Academicals Cup.

In another report, the Imo State Government said the police have opened a case against Uche Nwosu and the son-in-law to ex-Governor Rochas Okorocha will sooner than later give an account of his actions.

The state Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Declan Emelumba, stated this on Tuesday while reacting to the statements credited to Nwosu.
