Angry Jilted Man Remanded For Posting Nude Picture of Ex-Lover On Facebook

A 29-year-old man, Shedrack Kingsley Egu, has been arrested and charged in Lagos State for allegedly beating and posting nude pictures of his estranged lover on Facebook after she broke up with him. The incident occurred in November 2024 at Lowa Estate, Ikorodu area of Lagos.

Eko Hot Blog gathered that to the Egu became enraged after his girlfriend ended their relationship, which led to a heated disagreement between the couple according to Police Source.

Allegedly, he physically assaulted her, seized her SIM card and ATM card, and proceeded to post her nude pictures on social media.

The victim reported the incident to the Police at Ilupeju Division, prompting the law enforcement officers to take swift action.

They arrested and detained Egu for interrogation over his alleged conduct. Upon concluding their investigation, the Police found him culpable and subsequently charged him before the Ogba Magistrate Court for the alleged offense.

After the charges was read before the court, Egu Pleaded not guilty.

The prosecutor, Supol Akeem Raji, then asked the Court to give a date for hearing since he pleaded not guilty to enable the Police to prove that he actually committed the alleged offence.

The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. O. Kusanu, granted him bail in the sum of N500,000 with two sureties in like sum, who must show evidence of means of livelihood and tax payment while addresses will be verified by the Court.

The matter was adjourned for mention while the defendant was remanded in custody at correctional center at Kirikiri town, Lagos, pending when he will perfect his bail conditions.
