Veteran Nollywood Actor, Pete Edochie, has accredited domestic violence and broken marriages to feminism.
In an interview with BBC Igbo, he said women are at fault in most cases of domestic violence.
He mentioned that modern day women don’t know the necessary things required to keep their husbands happy.
And as a result, some men get infuriated, lose control of their emotions and beat up their wives.
Edochie also said he doesn’t support wife battering because his mother was never beaten by his father and he has never for once beaten his wife.
He further addressed the modern trend, the African men indulge in, were not in practices during his time, referring to kneeling to propose to a woman.
The Veteran insisted the African culture does not allow for worshipping of the women just like in the western world, EKO HOT BLOG gathered.
He however stated the fact that he is not a woman-hater but one who holds in high esteem the African culture.
