Aniagolu-Okoye Calls for Rule of Law to Boost Nigeria’s Development

Dr. ChiChi Aniagolu-Okoye, Regional Director of Ford Foundation West Africa, stressed the importance of the rule of law for good governance and socio-economic stability at the 2024 Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Enugu Law Week.

Dr. Aniagolu-Okoye highlighted that strengthening the rule of law can address Nigeria’s economic challenges, promote growth, attract investments, and reduce poverty.

Socio-economic development relies on the rule of law to ensure fairness, stability, and security, which builds confidence for citizens and investors to thrive.

Aniagolu-Okoye urged lawyers and the NBA to promote the rule of law and good governance, stressing their role in shaping Nigeria’s future for dignity, hope, and prosperity.
