Animashaun, Tobun Break Ground For Epe Multipurpose Hall As Engineer Announces Completion Date
Eko Hot Blog reports that stakeholders in Epe Local Government, Epe, Lagos State, have broken ground for the construction of a multipurpose hall on the premises of the Epe LG Council Secretariat.
The groundbreaking ceremony came on Thursday after a stakeholders meeting convened by the LG chairman, Hon. Princess Surah Animashaun, and attended by Hon. Abiodun Tobun, the member of Lagos State House of Assembly representing Epe constituency 1, and other stakeholders.
The engineer in charge of the project led Hon. Animashaun and Hon. Tobun to perform the groundbreaking ceremony.
Reacting to the development, the Epe LG boss said the proposed project indicates that the council is doing things for the betterment of the community and its occupants.
On his part, Hon. Tobun congratulated Animashaun on the progress and prayed that the project would be completed by the stipulated time.
According to the project’s chief engineer, the building will be concluded within the space of six months.
He also enlightened everyone present about what the project entails.
He mentioned that it is a multipurpose vocational and event centre with two floors with about 250 square meters of space.
The engineer further revealed that there are toilets on the ground floor, adding that the upper floor will house the event centre, which would take up to 500 people.
He noted that the event centre is planned in a way that it can also be used for vocational training such as tailoring activities, soap making, adire making and other vocational skills.
He also mentioned that the multipurpose hall will include two offices and three changing rooms.
Meanwhile, the representatives of the Oloja of Epe, Oba Kamorudeen Animashaun, and the Olu Epe of Epe, Oba Shefiu Olatunji Adewale, as well as chiefs and Epe LG council members, were also present to witness the groundbreaking ceremony.
