Another Veteran Nollywood Actor Is Dead

  • Indeed, this is not the best of times for the Nigerian movie industry, otherwise known as Nollywood.
  • The industry has been plagued with sad and heartbreaking news in recent times, including some deaths and ill health of some of their members.
  • Well, another Veteran member of the industry has just passed away.

Veteran Actor, Nwani Okolo, popularly known as Major in Nollywood reportedly died few days ago, precisely on February 22nd, 2021, but the news of his death was kept away from the public, it was broken by the Enugu State chapter of the Actors’Guild of Nigeria (AGN).

As gathered by EKO HOT BLOG , The sad and unfortunate news was broken via their official WhatsApp group through one of their members identified as Charity Victor.

Sharing the news, she wrote:

“The hero has finally gone to meet our ancestors. Nwani Okolo, popularly known as Major. He died on the 22nd of February 2021. May his soul rest in peace.”

Following the sad news, many of their members have continued to react and comment over the death of their Veteran.

Recall that barely a month ago, the industry had lost another of their veteran member in the person of Ernest Asuzu.

His death came many months after he was pictured in a heartbreaking condition in Lagos State.

He was seen begging for alms, and the video was shared online, sparking instant sympathetic reactions amongst most Nigerians.

Also, Nollywood came under intense attack and backlashing, for always abandoning their members when they are down and helpless.
