Ansarudeen School Isolo Student Association: A True Representation of Altruism, AVM Ladi Smith

Air Vice Marshal Dr. Sikiru Smith, the former president of the Ansarudeen College Isolo Old Students Association and chairman of the day’s event, credited the association’s success to the dedication and commitment of its alumni towards the school’s development.
He made this statement at the recently concluded Founders’ Day and reunion of the institution, which took place at the school’s location in Isolo, Lagos State.

The Reunion and Founders day celebration which took place on January 5th, 2025, also marked the 72nd year anniversary of the association.
During an Exclusive interview with Ekohotblog, AVM. Dr. Smith expressed his delight at the impressive performance of the college students, noting that the students have made the association proud with their outstanding academic performances.
“The Ansarudeen College Isolo Old Students Association has been supporting students in the college with scholarships and O’level exams enrollment,” he said.
The chairman praised the students, saying their performance is a testament to the impact of these initiatives.
At the event, two new projects were commissioned, the football pitch and the referee stand,
the chairman declared both facilities for use.
He added that the commissioned projects serve as a testament to the association’s commitment to supporting the College development.
AVM. Dr. S.O Smith also used the opportunity to highlight some of the past projects done by the association during his tenure as President.
They include the construction of new classrooms, renovation of upper and lower classrooms, construction of an assembly hall, and a mosque for the use of Muslim students.
According to the Occasion’s Chairman, the association’s success can be attributed to the intellectual leadership it has enjoyed since its inception.
“We’ve had seven past presidents, and I’m the last one who served two terms. This leadership has kept the association together and driven its growth,” he noted.

The Founders Day celebration, which started in 2013, is an annual event that brings together old students, ina bid to reunite and deliberate on their contribution to the development of the school facilities.
ADCIOSA comprises of 252 sets who finished from the college, with about 800 members across the globe.
