Anxiety As Cultists Strike In Lagos Again

  • Some of the residents in the area said the atmosphere had been tensed since Thursday afternoon.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that the residents of Oyeborode street, Ketu-Ikosi Road, Lagos State, have been thrown into panic as suspected cultists killed a young man known as Awo in the area.

It was gathered that the young man in his 20s was shot dead by some suspected cultists who attacked the area on Thursday afternoon.

It was further learnt that the cultists, during the attack, stole some phones and money, and fired shots in the air before disappearing in different directions.

“We were just there drinking and gisting and we saw some armed young men come out, attacked us, collected some phones.

“They cut his hands and shot him four times,” a resident disclosed.

Some of the residents in the area said the atmosphere had been tensed since Thursday afternoon as rumours filtered in of reprisal from cultists in the area.

EKO HOT BLOG gathered that one of the suspected cultists was earlier killed by a rival group in the Lagos community.

“In search of the killer, they came and they shot the wrong person,” a resident said.
