Anxiety As Security Operatives Invade IPOB’s Camp In Imo

  • The residents of Imo were thrown into anxiety following the invasion of one of the camps of IPOB by security operatives.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that the operatives of the Army, Police and Nigerian Air Force have destroyed one of the camps of the Eastern Security Network (ESN) linked to the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).

It was gathered that the destruction of the IPOB’s camp occurred at Amii-Akabo, Ikeduru Local Government Area of Imo State.

The latest development followed the killing of the leader of the gang in the state, popularly known as Dragon.

A police source revealed that one of the gang members, Osinachi Stanley, led security operatives to the camp where a female police inspector held in captivity was rescued.

A resident of the community further disclosed that no fewer than 10 houses were destroyed by the security operatives.

“The one arrested alive led security operatives to our village were a police inspector who was kidnapped by the gang was rescued alive.

No fewer than 10 houses were destroyed by the security operatives in our village. As I speak to you now, our kinsmen are on the run,” the resident said.

As gathered by EKO HOT BLOG, the development was confirmed by the Imo State Police Public Relations Officer, Bala Elkana, noting that the security operatives stormed the camp, rescued the woman police officer being held in the camp and recovered rifles stolen by the hoodlums from the police stations they attacked in the state.
