Veteran Nigerian singer, Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2face Idibia has come out to throw shade at how religion is practised in Nigeria.
The 45-year-old made his points known in a series of posts via his Instagram Stories. According to the singer, anyone choosing to fight for God is actually downgrading and disrespecting Him.
He stated that religion is meant to be a “mental gym” as God has already equipped people with the necessary resources to think on their own and not always be shepherded by any human.

Recall that the clergyman had been the subject of widespread backlash after he revealed during a recent sermon, that he had been praying for the COVID-19 pandemic not to come to an end.
Suleman said that during the pandemic things were so rosy and easy for him that he bought his third private jet. The clergyman further stated that he was praying for the pandemic not to end because he was prospering and resting.
He said, “In COVID (pandemic) I bought a jet; the third one. I have three. I was praying for COVID-19 not to end because I was resting. While people were complaining, my wife asked, ‘Can life be this sweet?’ Am I talking to somebody here?”
“No stress. I read on the Internet that there’s a rumour going around that I have a machine that prints money. I like that rumour. They say, ‘he should be investigated. He has a machine that prints money.
“Somebody asked if it’s true and I said it is true. They said, ‘It’s risky o’. I said I didn’t know it’s risky because I already bought the machine. When you speak in tongues, you’re printing money.”
The musician has now reacted to the trending video as he lambasted the preacher for making such pronouncements. Taking to his Instagram Stories, the singer slammed the congregation for cheering the preacher on as he spoke.
He further asked that no one should come for him with their religious arrogance. According to him, everyone will find their way to heaven
