EKO HOT BLOG reports that the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has begun a two-day screening exercise of its Presidential hopefuls ahead of its Special National Convention.
According to reports, John Oyegun, a former national chairman of the party, is in charge of the screening exercise.
About 30 people was said to have purchased the APC presidential nomination and expression of interest form, but only 23 would be screened at the ongoing exercise.
It was gathered that all the aspirants had undergone a vetting exercise by the party’s legal department and various security agencies.
The screening exercise would take place at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel in Abuja, the nation’s capital.
Recall that the APC had fixed June 6th and 7th as dates for the conduct of its special national convention/presidential primary election.
The ruling party also fixed the screening of presidential hopefuls for Monday, May 30th and Tuesday, May 31st and released the list of Presidential aspirants scheduled for screening.
The former APC National Chairman, John Odigie Oyegun, has been appointed as the Chairman of the seven-man Presidential Screening Committee
Also, 23 presidential hopefuls had been scheduled for the two-day screening exercise.
Below are the names of the presidential hopefuls set to be screened by the APC.

2. Badaru Abubakar
3. Robert A. Boroffice
4. Uju Ken-Ohanenye
5. Nicholas Felix
6. Nweze David Umahi
7. Ken Nnamani
8. Gbolahan B. Bakare
9. Ibikunle Amosun
10. Ahmed B. Tinubu
11. Ahmad Rufai Sani
12. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi
13. Oladimeji Sabon Bankole
However, former president Goodluck Jonathan who had earlier been rumoured to have joined to ruling party and submitted the forms is not on the list.
