The Sokoto State chapter of All Progressives Congress (APC), has inaugurated caretaker committees to run its affairs at the state level and the 23 Local Government Areas ( LGAs) of the state.
Speaking at the ceremony on Sunday in Sokoto, Alhaji Isa Achida, the state APC caretaker committee chairman assured of carrying all party members along.
Also speaking, Sen. Aliyu Wamakko (APC-Sokoto) congratulated members of the caretaker committees on their inauguration and urged them to work towards making the party stronger in the state.

”Nigerians are aware that people of the state have remained supportive to the APC.
” We shall jointly pursue sustained efforts towards ensuring that the party grows from strength to strength, at all levels,” Wamakko said.
Minister of Police Affairs, Maigari Dingyadi, lauded the previous leadership of the party in the state, urging members of the caretaker committees to sustain the tempo by further strengthen the party.
Dingyadi also commended Wamakko for his commitment and selfless service to the people of the state and the APC.
” We will remain resolute and firm, and will never despair, APC will clinch the governorship seat in Sokoto in 2023,” Dingyadi said.
The Minister said that APC was the party to beat in any election in the country.
Alhaji Ahmed Aliyu, Executive Secretary, Police Trust Fund and the 2019 APC governorship candidate in the state, said that there was no any other party in the state than the APC.
Aliyu further said tha members of the party in the state have remained united in spite of being in the opposition.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) report that all former executives of the party were returned as caretaker committee members.
Dignitaries at the event included party members, lawmakers at the state and National Assembly among others.
