According to Oshodi, the applications will capture the database of the electorate for election mobilisation and canvassing through the state, and local government, wards, and polling units.
He added that the applications will ensure a smooth political engagement by sensitising and creatively engaging voters on the platforms.
“The applications will enhance the mobilisation of voters and canvassing of undecided voters before the election and will bring real-time information to supporters of the presidential candidate without broken messages and in real-time,” Oshodi said. He further explained that the applications will allow for unit-to-unit canvassing and mobilisation and will promote the presidential candidate while educating voters on his antecedents.
The APC/PCC member highlighted that the applications were developed locally by youths towards a better Nigeria, and described the 2022 Electoral law as a game changer, as it would address many forms of electoral malpractices and other electoral shenanigans that had characterised the electoral process in the past.
“Electoral malpractices will be minimised by the new Electoral Act, and thus the need to scale up our activities and preparation towards the 2023 national election by embracing and leveraging technology and electoral transparency, which are the intents and purposes of the new 2022 Electoral Act,” Oshodi said.
He further explained that the Biometric Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) would ensure that the majority of votes will count, and where there are issues, the electoral audit will easily identify the most electoral malpractices.
The new applications are part of the APC’s strategy to win the upcoming presidential election and ensure that the party’s presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, emerges as the winner.
