APC Lawmakers Dump Party For NNPP In Gombe

2 APC Chieftains dumped the party to join NNPP in Gombe.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that two chieftains of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) have withdrawn their membership and declared allegiance to the opposition New Nigerian Peoples Party (NNPP) in Gombe State.

The politicians who are serving members of the Gombe State House of Assembly announced their defection on Saturday, December 10, 2022.

Hamza Adamu representing Balanga South, and Bappah Usman Jurara, representing Funakaye South, made their decisions known today after a meeting with the party’s gubernatorial candidate, Khamisu Ahmed Mailantarki, Naija News reports.

The lawmakers dumped APC hours the flag off of the party’s 2023 election campaign by Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya.

Attending to journalists on Saturday after their decamping, the lawmakers said they joined NNPP in the state’s best interest, adding that both APC and PDP lack the requisite leadership qualities to unite and develop the state.
