APC: Orji Kalu Speaks On His Exclusion From Presidential Campaign Council List

Orji Kalu has spoken on his purported exclusion from the APC Presidential Campaign Council list.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that the Senate Chief Whip, Orji Uzor Kalu, has denied a media report that he was removed from the fresh All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council list.

This online media platform gathered that the lawmaker was reacting to a story published by an online news platform that he had been removed from the Tinubu/Shettima Presidential Campaign Council (PCC).

Kalu, in a post on his verified Facebook page on Thursday, said he is still an important member of the campaign council, adding that he was featured on the list in three major capacities.

Kalu pointed out he was featured as a former Governor, serving member of the National Assembly, and the party candidate for Abia North Senatorial zone, noting that the list is comprehensive and doesn’t warrant any confusion.

He wrote: “Kindly disregard the story published by Premium times on the new published members of Tinubu/Shettima Presidential Campaign Council (PCC). As streamlined in the list, I feature as a member of the PCC in three capacities. I am a former Governor, serving member of National Assembly, and the party candidate for Abia North Senatorial zone. The list is comprehensive and calls for no confusion as wrongly reported.”

Kalu also commended President Muhammadu Buhari and the leadership of the party for inclusiveness in the newly released list.

The lawmaker asserted that the fresh list is comprehensive, organized, and harmonised, and captures all components necessary to win the 2023 presidential election.

He wrote: “Congratulations to our great party, All Progressives Congress(APC) on the release of the best Presidential Campaign Council(PCC) for Tinubu/Shettima 2023. Unlike the previous list, the new and updated PCC is comprehensive, organized, harmonised, and captures all components necessary to win the 2023 presidential election.
