APC Primaries: Court Adjourns To Enable Plaintiffs Present Witnesses

A Federal High Court sitting in Birnin Kebbi yesterday adjourned the pre-election case of Dr. Hussainin Kangiwa and Umar Abdulhai Kamba to April 9 and 10 to enable witnesses make their input.

Making the pronouncement, Justice Sunday Onu Bassey urged both the plaintiff and the 1st and 2nd defendants to bring all their witnesses to court on April 9th and 10th in order to meet up with the stipulated time.

Speaking to journalists after the judgement, the counsel for the 1st Defendant, Barr. Abdulghani Rotimi Arobo, assured the court that all their witnesses will be present in court as he also promised to close their case on that day to fast track ruling in the case.

Responding, the lawyer for the plaintiff, Sanusi Illo Katune (SAN), also assured the court that they are ready to close their case on that day after presenting their last set of witnesses. It would be recalled that Umar Abdulhi Kamba went to court to challenge Hussainin Kangiwa on the APC primary election conducted last year in the state.
