EKO HOT BLOG reports that the opposition All Progressives Congress in Adamawa State has disputed the state independent commission’s local government election results, which declared the Peoples Democratic Party’s nominees winners in all 21 of the state’s local government areas.
In the Saturday council votes, the PDP swept all chairperson seats across the 21 LGAs, according to ADSIEC Chairman Isa Shettima, who announced the results on Sunday.
The APC, on the other hand, slammed the poll’s results, calling them “grand theft.”
Dr. Raymond Chidama, the APC’s Adamawa State Secretary, bemoaned what he called the electoral umpire’s manipulation of the poll results.
He claimed that the ruling party stuffed ballot boxes in all local government areas except Yola North and Yola South, where the election appeared to be legitimate.
“The irregularities are enormous,” he remarked. The election results are definitely a case of grand theft. We are completely opposed to the elections. We’ll respond in a timely manner.”
The APC had warned ahead of the election that it would not tolerate election manipulation in favor of the ruling party.
Salihu Mustapha, the APC’s National Vice Chairman for the North-East, issued the warning, saying the party was aware the PDP was merely intending to stage the election as a farce.
Mohammed Abdullahi, the APC’s Publicity Secretary, also condemned the election’s outcome, calling the results “fabricated” by the electoral board.

“There was no election anywhere in the state,” he claimed. They could just inform the public that names of PDP candidates have been generated as winners.”
