APC Stalwart, General Aboki Is Dead, Buhari Reacts

  • Brigadier-General Ahmed Abdullahi Aboki is dead.
  • Buhari commiserates with the former Military administrator’s family and friends.

A former Director of Military Intelligence (DMI) and Minister of Communications, Social Development, Youths and Sports, Brigadier-General Ahmed Abdullahi Aboki,  is dead.

Reacting to the sad news, President Muhammadu Buhari expressed sadness over the former Military Governor of Kwara State’s death.

In a statement, Buhari commiserated with the former Military administrator’s family and friends and the government and people of Nasarawa State.

In the statement signed by Garba Shehu and made available to newsmen on Saturday, Buhari noted with admiration the contributions of the All Progressives Congress (APC) stalwart to the governing party’s achievements in both the state and the national levels.

The statement says that Buhari recalled the distinguished career and contributions to national development of the one-time Director of Military Intelligence (DMI), Minister of Communications, Social Development, Youth and Sports.

He urged all those mourning Gen. Aboki to take consolation in the knowledge that he served his country and community admirably.

“As the body of Gen. Aboki goes home today, the President prays that God will comfort the family and all those mourning the late military officer and seasoned politician and grant his amiable and gentle soul Paradise.”
