APC Confident In Tinubu’s Re-election In 2027 Despite Economic Challenges
APC believes President Bola Tinubu will be re-elected in 2027 despite economic hardships, emphasizing the necessity of ongoing reforms.
EKO HOT BLOG reports that the All Progressives Congress (APC) has expressed confidence that President Bola Tinubu will be re-elected in 2027 despite the current economic hardships and the planned alliance between major opposition parties.
The lingering economic difficulties, stemming from ongoing reforms such as the removal of fuel subsidies and the floating of the naira, have fueled concerns that Nigerians may vote against Tinubu in the next election.

However, the Deputy National Organising Secretary of the ruling party, Nze Chidi Duru, addressed these concerns in an interview with Sunday PUNCH. He emphasized that the reforms are necessary to stabilize the economy.
He stated, ‘Our party has always recognized that the current challenging economic environment has not improved significantly. When Mr. President took office, he inherited a sinking economy that required immediate and bold reforms to steady the ship.
“What gives us confidence is that Mr. President is very much aware of the expectations of the average citizen. The minimum expectation is for people to feel comfortable and secure. Therefore, discussions about the 2027 election are relevant. In the life of a country, four years can pass quickly.’
Duru’s remarks highlight the APC’s belief in the necessity of these economic reforms and their confidence in President Tinubu’s understanding of the people’s needs, which they hope will translate into continued support in the upcoming election.”
“Let me say every political office holder or politician knows that the first date in office is key because the citizens who elected you into office and those who did not elect you will begin to track your performance as a result of that. They can then decide whether or not to re-elect you.

“Concerning whether we will be re-elected, as a democrat and my personal view, we have always canvassed that unless His Excellency President Bola Tinubu will not contest, the APC government is bound to be represented by our candidate in 2027 to fly the flag for the simple reason that I want to bring up. And, of course, there is the incumbency factor.”
