EKO HOT BLOG reports that the ransom for Apostle John Okoriko, the founder and president of the Solid Rock Church, has been reduced from N100 million to N30 million by the gunmen who kidnapped him in the Mkpat Enin Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State.

On Tuesday at 5 p.m., the cleric was kidnapped on the church grounds by hoodlums who jumped the fence and carried their victim to the gate before whisking him away.

The abductors later used the Apostle John Okoriko phone to connect with his relatives, according to a family source.

The kidnappers sought N100m initially, but when the family couldn’t come up with the money, they reduced it to N30m, the source stated.

“This morning, the man of God called us again, saying that his kidnappers were still demanding N30 million.” We don’t have that kind of money. “We’re still pleading with them,” he added.

This online media platform learnt that several church stakeholders have advised parishioners to stop posting about the topic on social media in order to aid intelligence gathering by security forces.
