Appeal Court Hearing: Peter Obi Sends Message To Obidients

EKO HOT BLOG reports that the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, LP, Peter Obi, has urged his supporters not to turn the court into a rally ground.

Obi would be physically present in the Appeal Court today for the hearing on the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, an application seeking to set aside earlier order granted to both Obi and Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, to inspect the Bimodal Voters Accreditation System, BVAS, machines.

The Labour Party is contesting the outcome of the 2023 election which produced Bola Tinubu of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) as the president-elect.

Advising his supporters to maintain peace, the Labour Party candidate said “the sanctity of the court premises” must be respected at all times.

“As we go about seeking redress for our stolen mandate, I plead with OBIdients to respect the sanctity of the Court premises and give our legal team the space and peaceful environment to carry out their duties.
