- Accuses El-Rufai of marginalization in Kaduna as governor
- El-Rufai’s comment followed an article by frontline columnist, Farooq Kperogi
EKO HOT BLOG reports that Onanuga was reacting to El-Rufai’s remark that two wrongs does not make a right.
El-Rufai’s comment followed an article by frontline columnist, Farooq Kperogi where he accused Tinubu of recruiting his tribesmen into Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited, NNPCL.
In an article, titled “Tinubu’s Buharisation of the NNPC,” Kperogi claimed that it was embarrassing that Tinubu ‘relentless Yorubacentric take-over of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC),” like the Northerners did under former President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration.
Reacting, El-Rufai posted on X: “DECEMBER MESSAGE: Two wrongs do not make a right. Sensible inclusion always trumps arrogant exclusion.”
Irked by El-Rufai’s outburst, former Kaduna Central Senator, Shehu Sani berated the ex-governor over his silence while Buhari appointed his kinsmen into political offices.
Sani recalled the nepotism and marginalization in Southern Kaduna for eight years under El-Rufai.
According to Sani, Kaduna was an apartheid state under El-Rufai.
He posted on X: “There were people who were silent when Buhari was fielding political offices with his Kinsmen, and have now found their voice to speak out when the equation doesn’t favour them.
“Lets not make reference to the nepotism that marginalised Southern Kaduna for eight years. Kaduna was an apartheid state for eight years.”
Responding, Onanuga posted on X: “Senator Shehu Sani responds to El-Rufai’s cheap shot against President Tinubu.”
