The bricklaying team was working at a field in Sagamu, where they had been contracted by a local woman to complete a masonry job.
However, tensions escalated when Tosin began acting inappropriately towards the woman who had hired them.
Despite multiple warnings and attempts to curb Tosin’s behavior, he persisted, forcing Mr. Akanji to send him off the worksite.
The situation took a drastic turn later that evening as Mr. Akanji was on his way home.
Unbeknownst to him, Tosin had been trailing him. In a sudden and vicious attack, Tosin allegedly confronted Mr. Akanji and struck him in the eyes with a nailed iron rod, causing severe injuries. As Mr. Akanji fell to the ground, Tosin fled the scene.
Passersby found Mr. Akanji bleeding profusely and rushed him to a nearby hospital.

The Ogun State Police Command has been notified and has launched a manhunt for Tosin, who is currently at large.
Efforts to apprehend him have so far been unsuccessful, as police reports indicate that Tosin was not found at his residence when officers arrived.

The police are appealing to anyone with information on Tosin’s whereabouts to come forward to aid in his capture.
