Nosiru Onibon’s Daughter, Arafat, Bags First Class, Best Student Awards At University Of Hull
Nosiru Onibon’s daughter, Ms. Arafat, bagged a first class and best student awards at University of Hull.
Eko Hot Blog reports that Ms. Arafat Abiodun Onibon, the daughter of Associate Professor Nosiru Onibon, a former Acting Deputy Vice-Chancellor of the Lagos State University of Education (LASUED), has graduated from University of Hull, United Kingdom (UK), in flying colours.

Ms. Onibon, who began her undergraduate study in the University of Ilorin (UNILORIN), Ilorin, Nigeria, transferred to University of Hull where she bagged First Class honours in Biomedical Engineering.
Besides this top achievement, Eko Hot Blog gathered that the high-flying graduate earned two major prizes after emerging as the best student in different categories.
Ms. Onibon was awarded the Best Honours Stage Academic Performance in Medical Engineering award for the 2023/2024 session.
This award is given to the student with the highest grade at Level 6 registered on BEng or MEng Biomedical Engineering or Mechanical and Medical Engineering at the university.
The University of Hull said the award was presented to Ms. Onibon “in recognition of your outstanding achievement in Medical Engineering.”
“On behalf of the Faculty of Science and Engineering, I would like to congratulate you on your excellent performance,” a faculty representative wrote to the new graduate.
Additionally, Ms. Onibon bagged the Ken Swift Prize, which is awarded to “an Engineering student who has created an Engineering Project or Medical Related Engineering Design that has real world potential and could make a difference in today’s society.”
The Faculty of Science and Engineering added that the second award was in recognition of her outstanding achievement in her degree programme.
Meanwhile, Ms. Onibon’s father, a seasoned academic, expressed excitement and pride at the graduation of his daughter.
The proud father was joined by many other excited family members and friends at the convocation ceremony in the UK.
