EKO HOT BLOG reports that the suspension was announced on Thursday in a joint statement by ACF’s Board of Trustees Chairman, Bashir Muhammad Dalhatu, and National Secretary, Murtala Aliyu.
The statement clarified that Osuman’s comments, made during the ACF National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting held on Wednesday in Kaduna, were his personal views and not representative of the forum.
“Mr. Osuman’s statements were made without consulting or discussing with other leaders and members of the ACF. The leadership of the ACF rejects these statements entirely and has decided to place Mr. Mamman Mike Osuman on suspension with immediate effect,” the statement read.
It also revealed that a committee has been constituted to investigate the matter further.

Meanwhile, the Rivers State Chairman of the ACF, Musa Saidu, has criticized Governor Siminalayi Fubara for alleged marginalization of Northerners in the state. Saidu lamented that no Northerner was included in the recent appointment of commissioners, with an Igbo man from Abia State being the only non-indigenous appointee.
In an interview with The Guardian, Saidu accused the Fubara administration of continuing policies of exclusion initiated during the tenure of former Governor Nyesom Wike.
“Since Governor Siminalayi Fubara assumed office, we have not benefited in any form. No contracts, no rice distribution, no appointments—this marginalization mirrors what we endured under the previous administration,” Saidu said.
He further called on the governor to reverse this trend and ensure inclusivity in governance, warning that current policies risk deepening divisions.
“We are urging Governor Fubara to meet with legitimate northern leadership in Rivers State to address these issues. His government cannot be truly inclusive while ignoring Northerners,” he added.
Saidu emphasized the need for unity and collaboration, stating, “If Rivers State progresses, we all progress.”
