The robbers stormed the community around 4:00 pm shortly after the visit of the Inspector General of Police to the state command.
It was gathered that undisclosed amount of money was carted by the dare-devil armed robbers.
The operation was said to have lasted over 45 minutes without any arrival of security personnel.
An eyewitness said the robbers gained entrance into the bank, after using explosives suspected to be dynamite to blast the bullet-proof door which was followed by sporadic gunshots.
According to the eyewitness, one person was killed by the stray bullets and his lifeless body had been taken to the hospital.

When contacted, the state Police Public Relations Officer of the command, Mr Tee-Leo Ikoro confirmed the incident .
“I am hearing it but the DPO (Divisional Police Officer) in the town is yet to give me the details.”
