At least one bandit have been killed and two others arrested in a raid by army troops of Hadarin Daji in Zamfara.
Coordinator, Defence Media Operations, Major General John Enenche, made this known in a statement issued on Saturday.
Enenche explained that the success was recorded by army troops of the Forward Operating Base Shinkafi in continuation of efforts to forestall banditry and other criminal activities in the north-central region of the country.

The military spokesman noted that the army troops has sustained its aggressive fighting posture in the region.
He disclosed that the soldiers were on night patrol on Thursday when they came in contact with some armed bandits at Bakinruwa Riverside in Shinkafi Local Government Area of Zamfara State.
Enenche said the army troops engaged the criminals who fled in disarray due to the overwhelming superior firepower of the security operatives.
He stated that one of the bandits was neutralised during the encounter, while two of them were arrested with an AK-47 rifle and a loaded magazine recovered from them.
