Arsenal Central defender, Gabriel Magalhaes, has contracted COVID-19, excluding the Brazilian from the Gunners scheduled games against Brighton and West Brom.
It has been reported that Gabriel will be required to isolate himself after being flagged as a close contact with someone who had contracted the virus.
Gabriel missed out on Chelsea’s 3-1 victory and the news of his positive test means he will not be available for trips to Brighton and West Brom on Tuesday and Saturday respectively, EKO HOT BLOG gathered
According to a statement on Arsenal’s website, “Gabriel tested positive for COVID-19 and isolates himself in accordance with the protocols of the Government of the United Kingdom and the Premier League.

“We will remain vigilant and supportive of Gabriel, and we look forward to having him available again after our next two games.”
Fellow countrymen David Luiz and Willian were also excluded from the Chelsea game due to illness, but the club made it clear that the pair had a negative COVID-19 result and were scheduled to join the team on New Year’s eve.
