EKO HOT BLOG reports that Arsenal has reportedly joined the race to sign Marco Asensio with several clubs now monitoring the star’s situation at Real Madrid.
The 26-year-old attacking midfielder’s future is set to be resolved next week with Real chiefs wanting an answer from him by June 20.
The European champions have offered Asensio a contract extension, with his current deal running out in a year’s time.
However, the terms are not matching the player’s demands and there is a belief at the Bernabeu that he wants to move on in 12 months’ time as a free agent.
Real does not want to lose him for nothing, though, and they will try to sell him this summer if a new deal isn’t agreed.
Tottenham and AC Milan have been offered the player but now Arsenal are in the mix having contacted Asensio’s representatives to seek answers about his and Real’s demands.

The issue for Real is that they don’t want to break the bank for a player who is by no means a regular in Carlo Ancelotti’s starting line-up.
