Arsenal Reach Agreement To Sign Bournemouth’s Goalkeeper As Ramsdale Replacement

Arsenal FC have reportedly agreed to sign Bournemouth goalkeeper Neto on a season-long loan, bolstering their goalkeeping options.

This decision follows Arsenal’s conversion of David Raya’s loan into a permanent transfer earlier this summer.

David Raya, the Spain international, has secured the starting goalkeeper position, displacing Aaron Ramsdale early last season. As a result, Ramsdale is set to leave Emirates Stadium before the transfer deadline in search of regular playtime.

Ramsdale is expected to finalize a £25 million move to Southampton after passing a medical with the Saints on Thursday. Arsenal must secure a replacement before approving Ramsdale’s departure.

Initially, Arsenal targeted Espanyol’s Joan Garcia, but negotiations stalled over Garcia’s €30 million (£21 million) price tag. This led Arsenal to turn their attention to other options.
